Rules we apply to advertising

  • Ad slots never imitate navigation, download buttons, or editorial content.
  • Ads have reserved, fixed dimensions so the page does not move under your finger.
  • No interstitials that block content, no autoplay audio or video, no pop-ups over articles.
  • Ad density stays low enough that the article remains the main thing on the page.
  • We do not accept advertising for schemes promising guaranteed income, “training” required to start earning, unregulated financial products, or anything we would warn readers about editorially.

Sponsored content

Sponsors may suggest a topic. They do not see the draft before publication, do not approve it, and cannot require a positive conclusion. Sponsored articles are held to the same fact-checking standard as everything else, and are labelled permanently — the label is never removed later.
